Non-Judicial Candidate Filing period is closed

No person may be a candidate unless he/she actually, as opposed to constructively, resided in the district to which the office pertains for at least 30 days immediately before the close of candidate filing. Please see the Notice of Primary Election for the offices on the June 11, 2024 ballot. 

The last day to withdraw candidacy (Non-Judicial) is Tuesday, March 26, 2024, by 5 p.m.

Candidates for County Office must present one of the following Forms Of Identification when filing with The Nye County Clerk: 

  • Government-issued valid driver’s license or identification card issued by a governmental agency containing your photograph and physical address;
  • A current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government-issued document, such as a check, containing your name and physical address.

The Nye County Clerk’s offices are open from 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Filing Fees For County Offices: 

  • The filing fee for any county office is $105. 
  • Any district office is $35.
  • Uncompensated positions have no fee.

Filing fees are payable by cash, cashier’s check, or money order.
