VOTER ALERTS
A.B. 321 ESTABLISHES THE USE OF MAIL BALLOTS IN EVERY ELECTION. all active registered voters in the state of nevada will be sent a mail ballot. voters MAY still vote in person at a designated polling location in nye county.
VOTERS MAY OPT OUT OF RECEIVING A MAIL BALLOT NO LATER THAN 60 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION by submitting a mail ballot preference form to the nye county clerk or online through the nevada secretary of state. VOTERS MUST OPT BACK IN IF THEY WISH TO RECEIVE A MAIL BALLOT IF THEY HAVE PREVIOUSLY OPTED OUT.

VOTERS MAY STILL VOTE IN PERSON EVEN IF THEY HAVE RECEIVED A MAIL BALLOT BUT THEY MUST EITHER SURRENDER THEIR BALLOT AT THE VOTING LOCATION OR, IF THEY DO NOT HAVE THEIR BALLOT, SIGN AN AFFIRMATION THAT THEY ARE NOT VOTING TWICE IN THE SAME ELECTION.
INDIVIDUALS REGISTERING 13 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION WILL NOT BE SENT A MAIL BALLOT AND WILL HAVE TO VOTE IN PERSON EXCEPT FOR IN AN EMERGENCY.

- Requests can be emailed, mailed or dropped off at the Clerk's Office in Tonopah or Pahrump
- All requests must be in writing and specify party, precincts, districts, active voters, inactive voters or both
- Voter List Printout or e-mail, 1 Cent Per Name
- Voter List on CD, 1 Cent Per Name Plus $5.00 For CD
- Voter Labels, 3 Cents Per Name
- All Other Copies, 50 Cents Per Page

PRIMARY ELECTION
- April 15, 2022 5:00 pm: Mail Ballot Opt Out Deadline 60 Days before election day
- May 17, 2022: Voter Registration Deadline Last day to register, update registration, or change party affiliation for the Primary Election by mail or by appearing in person at the Nye County Clerk’s Offices.
- May 18 – May 31, 2022: Online Only Standard Voter Registration Voters may register, update registration, or change party affiliation for the Primary election on the Secretary of State’s website. Voters will not be sent a sample ballot if registered after May 26th.
- May 28 – June 10 and June 14, 2022: Same Day Registration During Early Voting and on Election Day. Voters may register and vote in person only. Voters will be given a provisional ballot.
- May 28 – June 10, 2022: Early Voting: Tonopah and Pahrump
- June 1 – June 14, 2022: Online Same-Day Registration Voters may register to vote, update registration, or change party affiliation for the Primary Election on the Secretary of State’s website. Voters must vote in person. New registered voters will be given a provisional ballot.
June 14, 2022: Primary Election Day – Vote 7:00am to 7:00pm
