[ARCHIVED] Many county government offices closing to walk-in traffic

The following County Government Offices have notified the county administration on Monday, March 16th that they have closed for an undetermined amount of time to public walk-ins, but will maintain regular business hours to respond by email and phone, and process electronic filings. These steps are being taken out of an abundance of caution in the face of Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns.

Treasurer’s Office to remain open

From Treasurer John Prudhont:
The Treasurer’s Office remains open Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5pm to serve our citizens. However, in response to concerns regarding COVID-19, we encourage you to undertake any business you have with this office remotely if possible. Please consider these options:
• Property Tax information is available 24/7 at
• Pay online at eCheck or credit card payments accepted. A fee will be charged by the payment vendor for eCheck and credit card transactions.
• Mail your payments to Nye County Treasurer 170 N. Floyd St., Suite. 2, Pahrump, NV 89060.
• Call 775-751-4200 if you have questions or need to speak with a representative.

Town of Pahrump offices CLOSINGS INCLUDE:

Town of Pahrump Administration and Business Licensing
Ambulance Billing
Town Finance

The Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue business office will be closed to the public but will remain operating in regard to emergency response and preparedness. The PVFD is suspending acquisition of burn permits, fire reports, station tours, and other general questions at the front desk.

Message from the Town of TonopAh:

“The Town of Tonopah and Tonopah Public Utilities’ offices, out of an abundance of caution and consideration to the public and our employees, will be closed this week. TPU payments can be made on line at or by calling 855-300-8636. You can also drop payments in the payment drop box located just outside the TPU door at 140 S. Main Street. There will be staff in the office and available for emergencies if necessary. Please call the Town at 482-6336 or TPU at 482-6643.
