[ARCHIVED] Pahrump courthouse closed for the weekend

The Nye County Courthouse in Pahrump has closed for the remainder of Thursday, November 7th, and all day Friday, November 8th, due to the detection of what appears to be bedbugs in the facility, located at 1520 E. Basin Ave.

The closing is to spray the area for the bugs and a precautionary measure to allow time to fumigate the building.

If the public has documents that need filling with the Nye County Clerk's Office and the courts, please place in the brown drop box by the front doors and will be filed with the appropriate date.

People needing immediate assistance may call the Tonopah Clerk's Office at 775-482-8127, or the Tonopah Justice Court, 775-482-8155.

The courthouse houses the District Attorney's Office, the County Clerk's Office, both Pahrump Justice Courts and both Fifth Judicial District Courts, and two courtrooms.

The building will reopen Tuesday, November 12th, at 8 a.m.

All county and town offices are closed Monday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.
