[ARCHIVED] Storm Area 51 update: NCSO continues increased patrol, Emergency Management back to normal operation

No further incidents occurred at the security gates to Nevada National Security Site overnight Friday into Saturday morning, reported the Nye County Sheriff's Office.

County Department of Emergency Management and state partners are beginning to pull back resources as incidents tied to possible Storm Area 51 events have sharply declined.

The Sheriff's Office will continue operations with increased patrols through the weekend in the communities along U.S. Highway 95 from Mercury through Amargosa Valley and Beatty, and along U.S. Highway 6 from Tonopah to the Lincoln County line.

County Emergency Management has returned to normal operations.
