[ARCHIVED] Declaration of Emergency signed by Commissioners

On Wednesday, August 28, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a Declaration of Emergency for the "Storm Area 51" event proposed for September 19-21, 2019.

Signing the Declaration enables County officials to work with the state on allocating resources to the County as needed, as well as partnering on strategy and tactics for the event.

The Declaration will also help the County apply for reimbursement for some costs that may be incurred during the event.

The Declaration goes into effect on August 29th and will sunset on September 22nd.
