The Nye County Board of County Commissioners is accepting resumes for the Office of Treasurer.  Interested individuals must:

•    Be a qualified elector of the county;

•    Be at least 21 years of age on the date he or she will take office;

•    Not have been convicted of a felony for which his or her civil rights have not been restored by a court of competent jurisdiction; and

•    Not have been found liable in a civil action involving a finding of fraud, misrepresentation, material omission, misappropriation, theft or conversion.

Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018. No resumes will be accepted after that date.

Former Interim Treasurer Pam Webster won the November election for the office. However, she had decided to step down from her post in October citing medical issues in her family. Due to the timing of the resignation, Webster remained on the ballot.

Jennifer Perry, who has served in the Treasurer's Office for more than 10 years, has been serving as interim treasurer.
