The Mobile Dental Clinic will be in Tonopah and Pahrump this month to offer free dental screenings, sealants, and fluoride treatments for all interested individuals.
The dental clinic will be in Tonopah on Monday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tonopah Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Facility, 209 N. St. Patrick Street.
The dental clinic will be in Pahrump on Wednesday, April 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the NyE Communities Coalition, 1020 E. Wilson Road. The Mobile Dental Clinic will also be available during the Kindergarten Roundup on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., also at the NyE Communities Coalition.
The clinic will be open for the Kindergarten Roundup and will see walk-in patients until 3 p.m. Morning is primarily for kindergarten and Pre-K children entering any Pahrump public school this Fall, and their families. Everyone is seen on a first come first serve basis regardless of age and time they arrive.
The dental services that will be provided in Tonopah and Pahrump will be:
*Fluoride Varnish – all ages
*Sealants– target ages 2nd and 6th graders, may be available to older children/ adults depending on risk (must have the absence of decay)
*Dental screenings – all ages
No restorative care such as fillings will be available, but referral to obtain care will be available..
Toothbrushes/gift bags will be available
There is no charge for dental services but if the participant has insurance this will be billed.
Beyond dental services, immunization services will be available. However, anyone wanting an immunization must bring their immunization records.
In Tonopah, the Southern Nevada Health District will provide vaccines to adults and children privately insured through eligible plans (see list below), and adults with Medicare/Medicaid.
Please note that uninsured adults/children and children (18 and under) with Medicaid will be referred to Tonopah Clinic Health Nurse.
In Pahrump, the Health District will provide vaccine for adults and children privately insured with eligible plans and adults with Medicare/Medicaid. The Community Health Nurse will provide vaccine to Medicaid/uninsured children and uninsured adults.
Out of pocket payment may be needed for immunizations not covered by insurance plans.
FORMS OF PAYMENT accepted by the Southern Nevada Health District include Visa/MasterCard or debit card.
NOTE: The credit card holder's name must match the name on the acceptable photo identification presented.

NOTE: The Mobile Dental Van will also be available in Goldfield in EsmTuesday, April 10. The van and vaccinations will be at the Goldfield Welcome Center on U.S. Highway 95 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Follow the Tonopah guidelines for details.
