[ARCHIVED] $1.8 Million Homestead Road improvement project starts this week
The Homestead Road improvements project is scheduled to begin Wednesday, November 8, 2017, and run through January.
The Board of Nye County Commissioners awarded the $1.8 project to Pahrump-based Wulfenstein Construction during the board's regular meeting September 19, 2017.
The re-build project will run approximately 1 mile from Gamebird Road to Manse Road. Homestead will remain open during construction. However, there will be periodic delays at the Homestead intersections at Gamebird and at Manse starting in December.
Working hours for construction will be Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Nye County road crews placed electronic road signs at both ends of the project on Monday.
The project is being funded from the Nye County Road Fund, which is supported by the county gas tax.
