[ARCHIVED] Angel Flight West, a Non-Profit Volunteer Organization, Providing Services to Children and Adults

Recently Nye Regional Medical Center in Tonopah, NV, closed its doors due to financial hardships. Since then, several entities have stepped forward offering their support for services to the residents in the region. One of those is Angel Flight West, a non-profit, volunteer organization providing free non-emergency services to children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs. Angel Flight West is made up of over 2,000 pilots who donate their aircraft, skills, time and all associated costs to families in need. Examples of missions they fly include:

• Medically stable patients for treatment
• Relatives of hospice patients
• Relocation of victims of domestic violence
• Children to medical summer camps
• Military personnel and families
