[ARCHIVED] Notice of Public Hearing on September 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM on Nye County Resolution No. 2014-17:

The Nye County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the Pahrump Regional Planning
Commission (RPC) are charged with the adoption of a Master Plan pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 278.150 and 220. The Master Plan serves to guide decisions regarding growth and development over the next 5 to 10 years by providing goals objectives and policies to guide recommendations on development of the community.
The Plan functions as the policy basis for land use management decisions in the PRPD. The plan is a living document, and may be reviewed and amended from time to time and may be comprehensively updated as the community’s needs change. This update is divided into various subject matters as described in NRS 278.160. Each chapter addresses one or more of the major planning topics relevant to our community and consistent with the requirements as described in the NRS.
Pursuant to NRS 27 8.220 (4) “No change in or addition to the master plan or any part thereof, as adopted by the planning commission, may be made by the governing body in adopting the same unit the proposed change or addition has been referred to the planning commission for a report thereon and an attested copy of the report has been filed with the governing body. Failure of the planning commission so to report within 40 days, or such longer period as may be designated by the governing body, after such reference shall be deemed to be approval of the proposed change or addition.”
