The Nye County Board of Commissioners will be proposing amendments to the Nye County Code, Title 6, to amend the ordinance governing Animals in the county. The draft amendments are available for your review here.
Specifically, the proposed amendments will:
(a) Amend Chapter 6.04 General Provisions;
(b) Amend Chapter 6.05 Enforcement;
(c) Remove Chapter 6.06 Licensing, Vaccinations, Limits on Number, Running at Large, Impoundment, Rabies Prevention;
(d) Add Chapter 6.06 Vaccinations;
(e) Add Chapter 6.07 Microchip Identification Devise;
(f) Add Chapter 6.08 Limits on Dogs and Cats;
(g) Add Chapter 6.09 Permits, Limits;
(h) Add Chapter 6.10 Animals Running at Large;
(i) Add Chapter 6.11 Impoundment for Violations of this Code;
(j) Add Chapter 6.12 Animal Bites, Reports Required;
(k) Add Chapter 6.13 Reporting of Found Animals;
(l) Add Chapter 6.14 Animal Waste and Odor;
(m) Add Chapter 6.15 Cruelty to Animals;
(n) Add Chapter 6.16 Animal Facility Regulations;
(o) Amend Chapter 6.20 Miscellaneous Animal Regulations;
(p) Remove Chapter 6.30 Ownership and Possession of Special Conditions Animals;
(q) Amend Chapter 6.40 Appeals to Board of County Commissioners.
