Nevada's Senior RX Program
DO YOU NEED HELP PAYING FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS?
NEVADA’S SENIOR RX MAY BE THE SOLUTION!
Senior Rx is Nevada’s program to provide seniors with relief from the high cost of prescription medication through our subsidy program. Become a member today by submitting a brief application! Your eligibility will be determined within 45 days! Senior Rx provides up to $5,100 in subsidy benefits per year.
Senior Rx provides a subsidy for assistance with Medicare Part D expenses for members who ARE eligible for Part D and a cost-sharing subsidy benefit for members who are NOT eligible for Part D benefits.
The qualifications for eligibility are:
- Age 62 or older
- A Nevada resident for one year at the time of application
- Household income not over $25,477 for single persons
- Household income not over $33,963 for married couples
(Note: Household income limits are re-evaluated every July. Income limits listed for single and married couples above are for Fiscal Year July 2009-June 2010.
- If eligible for Medicare Part D, enrollment in an approved Part D plan (or Medicare approved equivalent plan) is required.
- Assistance from federal and/or other state programs may be considered in determination of eligibility.
Also as part of our services, we offer the “Diabetic Sense” program to assist you with your medication therapy compliance and improve your quality of life, and vision benefits for eligible members based upon additional income requirements.
